Description: This chart is a bouncy, bob-ish tune set over a 1/2 Time Rock-Funk Shuffle Feel. To begin the chart, the horns set the groove a cappella, and the rhythm section joins after the first "A" section. The solo section is built on modal harmony and is open for anyone that wants to blow. After the solos, there is a unique and playful interplay between the trumpets and trombones before building toward a lively saxophone soli in a new key (Eb). It has proven to be a good closer with its developing section, twists and turns, and rhythmic groove. Highest note for lead trumpet is written high F#. Key: A Blues.
