Difficultly - Blues, Difficult

As recorded on John Daversa's "Live at Catalina's", this chart is a swingy, bluesy tune built on a bass line groove in 7/4. There are solos in the guitar and alto saxophone before a trumpet solo begins softly and sparsely in a new key (a minor). The solo is accompanied by a seamlessly steady layering of instruments and colors, arriving at an intricate and powerful out chorus. It has proven to be a rousing closer. Key: F Blues.
