#45

$60.00

As recorded on Cuarentena, With Family at Home, “#45” is a song written by my father, Jay Daversa. There is a two-bar melodic pickup that sets the tone of the “A” sections. The first “A” section is in Db at 106 BPM. The second “A” stated by the piano is slower, at 96 BPM. The bridge swiftly accelerandos to a double time feel with a unison chromatic eighth note line. The last “A” section returns to the bolero and is stated by the trumpet, but now in the key of Eb. The trumpet solo shifts back down to Db and the piano solo shifts down to C and at a slower tempo. The bridge once again goes to double time, but this time in the key of C. The final statement of the “A” section is played by the trumpet in the key of D, and there is a closing vamp on the parallel minor of the original key: Db minor dorian.
