Ms. Turkey

As recorded on Wobbly Dance Flower, “Ms. Turkey” is a playful, bluesy, fast tempo swing piece. I once recorded at a studio in Belgium that was adjacent to a turkey farm. Each time we would open the glass doors to go outside, it would startle the 100 + turkeys on the other side of the fence…and oh, the chorus of sounds they would make! The trading alternate fingerings between the trumpet and tenor saxophone is an attempt to mimic those unique turkey sounds.
