Meet Me at the Airport

As recorded on Wobbly Dance Flower, “Meet Me at the Airport” is a jazz blues with an ascending interlude vamp that signifies the take-off of an airplane. Musicians are often “living” at the airport—I wanted to write a simple blues chart that captured the feeling of heading out to the airport, en route to the gig! Actually, this chart, along with most all the charts from Wobbly Dance Flower, were written on the plane, en route to the recording session.
